Joshuah Kerby is a shareholder in Aronowitz Skidmore Lyon and a key part of the firm's litigation and transactional team.
Mr. Kerby graduated from the University of California, Davis, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in Professional Writing. After spending his first year of law school in New York City, Mr. Kerby returned to UC Davis where he received his Law Degree in 2018. Along with his Law Degree, Mr. Kerby earned the King Hall Business Law Certificate for his concentration and academic achievement in areas such as Business Transactions, Tax, and Negotiations.
Mr. Kerby was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2018, and he is an active member of the legal community. Formerly the Treasurer of the King Hall Chapter of the Christian Legal Society, Mr. Kerby remains an active member of the Christian Legal Society’s Sacramento Chapter.
Mr. Kerby represents clients from the formation to the operation and all the way through the sale of the business. Mr. Kerby has closed numerous multi-million dollar business acquisitions and sales transactions, including single transactions exceeding 150 million dollars. Mr. Kerby also routinely drafts seller carryback financing instruments and represents clients in the purchase, sale, and lease of commercial properties.
In 2024, Mr. Kerby was elected as the Vice Chairman of his tribe, the Manchester-Point Arena Band of Pomo Indians, where he uses his legal expertise to build a better future for his tribe.
Mr. Kerby lives in Roseville with his wife, two children, and three huskies. He volunteers as a youth leader and a member of the worship band at his church. His non-legal passions include playing co-ed softball, playing the guitar and drums, training jiu jitsu, and going on family adventures.
